  1. The net result of gratification is to feel good. Trading a small amount of gratification for a much larger amount, feels even better. But realizing that it is the “delay” that is making things better, is in itself gratifying. Hence, it will feel the best!

  2. this kid is 13. what is he expecting? to be the president of USA next year? that is the problem with the younger generation nowadays – everything in life they want it immediately. they want instant gratification but are blind to the fact that any achievement in life is not done overnight, there is always a process. and for goodness sake kid, you are 13, go enjoy your childhood playing with your friends instead of asking these kind of stupid questions.

  3. I spent 5 years in pursuit of an engineering degree, i think I have the concept of "delayed-" pretty well covered.

    Gratification, on the other hand, i am guessing is a french word?
